 1. Согласованный зачет позиций или обязательств торговыми партнерами или участниками. Неттинг сокращает большое число индивидуальных позиций или обязательств до меньшего числа обязательств или позиций. Неттинг может принимать несколько форм, которые имеют различную степень принудительного исполнения в случае неисполнения обязательств одной из сторон. См. также двусторонний неттинг, многосторонний неттинг, новация, неттинг позиций, замещение.
2. Согласованный зачет взаимных обязательств торговыми партнерами или участниками системы, включая неттинг обязательств по сделке, например, через центрального контрагента, а также соглашения о расчете по ценным бумагам или инструкциям о переводе денежных средств на нетто-основе.
